La Costa Ridge is a Tuscan hillside village inspired master planned community in Carlsbad, CA consisting of 262 single family homes on 465 acre sitting atop one the highest points in Carlsbad. GMP developed the design of the projects gated entry to evoke the feeling of entering a Tuscan hillside villa special attention was paid to all hardscape and landscape material selection as well as the geometry of the entry experience framing the massive views of south Carlsbad and the Pacific Ocean beyond with pin point focus to the overall project theme.

GMP’s scope of services include: Developing project entries, landscape palette, and hardscape palette to create a sense of place within the Community Theme of a Tuscan Hillside Village. GMP also developed the Landscape Architectural working drawings including all hardscape, street scene and common area Planting and Irrigation, Landscape Lighting Design, Landscape Irrigation Design and Master Planning, Landscape Grading Design, Landscape Planting Design, Re-Vegetation and Restoration, Construction Administration and Observation.
